Lauren began her dance training at twenty-two months old. Coming from a dance and performing family, she was snuck in two months early ofthe 2 years old requirement in the Jon A. Mullin Performing Arts Company where she would spend the next 15 years in extensive classical training. From here she went on to perform in the corps with Ballet Florida and Palm Beach Opera before she decided to put her complete focus on university.
But, unable to separate herself from dance, she began training as a belly dancer in South Florida at Imperial Belly dance under the direction of Dawn Gunduz while pursuing her academic career as well. Completely taken with the dance, she went on to study with Egyptian and Turkish masters, most notably, Ozgen, Ruby Beh, Kazafy, Shalby, Jillina, Sherena and Sadie. During this period, she also started studying under Saeed and Mistri for Bollywood and Classical Indian dance.
Since 2005, she has been performing throughout North America (Atlanta, Pittsburgh, LA, Chicago) and Europe (Italy, Macedonia, Croatia) but views South Florida as her home. She is Florida's premier belly dancer entertaining everyone from locals to celebrities. She has performed at the most prestigious locations and events including, Trump's Mar-A-Lago, Breakers, Rainbow Ball (2013 & 2015) and Casa Malnik and for celebrities Todd English, Vanilla Ice, Al and Nancy Malnik, Erika Dunlap Miss Florida 2003 and Miss America 2004, Verne Troyer aka Mini Me, Burn Notice's Gabrielle Anwar and Shareef Malnik just to name a few. She and her professional trio, Bellydance Sirens have opened for Ludacris and were part of the Top 5 RAW Artists of 2013. A dancer for dancers, she has been the choice entertainer for Ringley Brothers, Cirque du Soleil and American Ballet Theater private events.
Lauren has worked in film and theater, dancing and starring in several international music videos, including American Idol finalist K-Mac's title track "P!rate", Tamir Hoseny, Pittbull and Akon's track "Arabian Knight" as well as performing fire dance in local artist Iggy G's latest hit "Damn" and Israeli artist Lemour Sharani's videos shot in Miami. She has appeared in commercials for Starbuzz Shisha in Egypt and Dubai and been featured on Albanian and Macedonian TV. She also was the choreographer and costume designer for Il Nomo Theater 2010 season. Most recently, she has had the honor of appearing as a cover model three times for the famous Emad Sayyah, as well as appearing on several belly dance compilation albums.
She has also opened for several National and International Arabic superstars including Wael Jasser (Lebanon), Hussam Jnaid (Syria), as well as Arab American Superstars Mahmoud Baydoun, Abu Sumay, Karim Jaber, and Ahmad Hatoum . And she has co-founded the dynamic dance entertainment company Sirens Dance Collective
